Recently went for the first time for my 4th anniversary, and I got to say, it exceeded my expectations. My husband and I travel for work and are both foodies. So we've been around the block when it comes to trying out local food, and I'm not going to lie, this is some of the best I've come across. I also noticed that they had a greenhouse on site for fresh herbs and micro greens. I can definitely tell it makes a big impact on the freshness of the food.

Our Cabin was also clean and private, something we appreciated.

Lastly, without doing into detail there was an incident of racism with another guest at dinner, and the staff went above and beyond with making it right. They had our back and made sure that we didn't have to interact them them again. So I an attest, if you or your partner are a minority then your safe.

The attention to detail from the accommodations to the food to the experience is well-executed. We appreciate the original vision of Michael who worked diligently to provide a get-away by dreaming up the legend of Glenlaurel. We have been coming for 22 years and have always been treated with the greatest of care. The team works together to create a rich experience and the traditions that brought us here originally have lived on without becoming trite or worn. Besides the accommodations, the grounds, the cuisine, and the staff, we adore the poetry at dinner and the special events throughout the year.

This is my happy place. The great accommodations, the fantastic dining, the beautiful location and a staff that goes above and beyond to make this a relaxing delightful stay. We discovered it in 2016 at the recommendation of a friend. It was just the getaway I needed and we have returned several times since.

Fantastic! Our stay at Glenlaurel was amazing! We had a perfect weekend getaway in the Hocking Hills. The facilities were terrific—clean and well kept. The food was over the top..with fantastic breakfasts and a lamb chop dinner that was arguably the best dinner we’ve had —ever! Most importantly, the entire staff provided excellent service and went out of their way to assure we enjoyed a delightful experience. This was our first visit, and we’re already planning for another stay!

Definitely the best place to stay in Hocking Hills

From candlelit dinners to stargazing hot tubs - exceptional care and scenic serenity We had an absolutely magical stay at Glenlaurel! As fellow hospitality property owners, we deeply appreciated the incredible care and attention to detail—the hospitality here is truly world-class and made our experience unforgettable.

The grounds are stunning and serene, with beautifully maintained hiking trails that felt like stepping into a magical world. We were grateful to have experienced the beauty of autumn here as it is our favorite season.

We loved the outdoor setting of the social hour, the ample and delicious breakfasts (Melissa’s scones are, without exaggeration, the best on the planet—reflecting her incredible baking skill and years of training), and the many opportunities to dine on property (picnicking, in-room, and within the pub).

Our 6-course dinner was an unforgettable highlight. Set in a candlelit dining room, with pewter chalices and accompanied by beautiful Scottish music, each course featured innovative flavors that delighted the senses. We had so much fun dressing in tartan prints for the occasion! The table-side poem read just for us brought tears to my eyes and made the evening profoundly special.

Our room was perfectly cozy, with comfortable beds, robes, and fireplaces that added perfect ambiance. The private hot tub on our deck made stargazing an intimate and serene experience. We also enjoyed the Scottish links golf and nightly bonfires.

Every detail—big and small—reflects thoughtfulness and true dedication to guest experience. A sincere thank you to the entire staff for taking such wonderful care of us. We will absolutely return!

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at Glenlaurels for 2 nights. Very charming Inn and a lovely and attentive staff. Could not recommend highly enough.
