Thank you, friends.
As you may well know, July of 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of Glenlaurel’s Grand Opening. To commemorate, we held a two day event on July 13th & 14th. Guests celebrated into the night with us both evenings.
Sunday:
After a welcoming reception in the Manor House parlor, guests mingled amongst the beautiful music of Delightful Sounds. An elegant wine paired dinner, featuring the assistance of Wyandotte Winery, followed. Guests were joined by Glenlaurel’s creator, and original Innkeeper, Michael Daniels. The House Table was honored with one of Mr. Daniels beloved poetry recitations.
Monday:
Rockbridge Crossing jammed out in the St. Andrew’s dining room, as guests enjoyed an early happy hour in the Loch Ness Pub and Piper’s Lounge. They then enjoyed our casual “Fish ‘n Chips, Glenlaurel style” feast, which ended with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams famous ice cream sandwiches. The time passed all too quickly with delicious dishes, spirited conversation, and even more spirited dancing.
The next 20 years
With great friends, flowing spirits and full hearts, it was truly an event to remember. May the friendship and gaiety of both evenings flavor Glenlaurel’s next 20 years of “Celebrating You.”
